Payment and Commissions

At rent-me.app, we are committed to providing a transparent and secure payment experience for our users. This page outlines how payments and commissions work on our platform.


1. Payment Process

1.1 Secure Transactions:
All payments are securely processed through our trusted third-party payment providers. Your financial information is encrypted and handled with the highest standards of security.

1.2 How Payments Work:

  • For Guests: When you book a service, the full payment, including any applicable fees, will be charged at the time of booking.
  • For Hosts: After a service is completed, payouts will be processed and sent to your designated account.

1.3 Accepted Payment Methods:
We accept various payment methods, including:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit cards
  • PayPal
  • Other region-specific payment methods (if applicable)

2. Host Payouts

2.1 Payout Timeline:
Payouts are typically processed within 5 to 10 days after the service has been successfully completed. However, it may take additional time depending on your financial institution.

2.2 Payout Methods:
Hosts can choose from the following payout methods:

  • Stripe

2.3 Payout Accuracy:
Hosts are responsible for ensuring that their payout details are accurate and up to date. rent-me.app is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect payout information.


3. Service Fees and Commissions

3.1 Platform Fees for Guests:

  • Guests are charged a service fee to cover platform operations, payment processing, and customer support.
  • This fee will be clearly displayed at checkout before completing the booking.

3.2 Commission for Hosts:

  • rent-me.app charges Hosts a %15 on each completed booking.
  • The commission is a percentage of the booking total (excluding taxes) and is automatically deducted from the Host's payout.
  • The standard commission rate is [15%], subject to adjustments for promotional programs or special agreements.

4. Taxes

4.1 Taxes for Guests:

  • Any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST will be added to the booking total at checkout.
  • Guests are responsible for reviewing tax details before completing their bookings.

4.2 Taxes for Hosts:

  • Hosts are solely responsible for determining, collecting, and remitting applicable taxes for the services they provide.
  • rent-me.app may provide tools to assist with tax calculations but does not guarantee accuracy or compliance.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

5.1 Guest Refunds:

  • Refund eligibility is determined by the Hostโ€™s cancellation policy, which is displayed in each Listing.
  • Refunds may exclude service fees, which are typically non-refundable.

5.2 Host Penalties:

  • Hosts who cancel confirmed bookings may incur penalties, including reduced visibility of their Listings or deductions from future payouts.

6. Disputes and Payment Issues

6.1 Disputes Between Users:

  • rent-me.app encourages Guests and Hosts to resolve disputes amicably.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached, our support team may mediate and make a final determination.

6.2 Failed Transactions:

  • In the event of a failed payment, the booking will not be confirmed until the issue is resolved.
  • rent-me.app reserves the right to cancel bookings for unpaid transactions.

7. Currency and Exchange Rates

7.1 Currency of Transactions:
All transactions are processed in USD Dollar, unless otherwise specified.

7.2 Exchange Rates and Fees:
For payments or payouts involving currency conversion, exchange rates and associated fees are determined by the payment processor.


8. Host Payment Eligibility

8.1 List of eligible countries for host payments: To receive payments from us, you must have a Stripe account. Stripe accounts can only be created by residents of the following countries. However, if you already have a Stripe account and do not reside in one of these countries, you can still receive payments:
